The KATAN is full-auto rated for up to 50 rounds per minute of 5.7×28 is fully rated for 5.56mm use with a 16” barrel firing at 15 rounds per minute. NOTE: The KATAN .22 is rated for full auto 5.7×28 at 50 rounds per minute with no barrel restriction. The KATAN .22 can also be used for 5.56 mm rifles with a barrel restriction of no shorter than 16″ and no more than 15 rounds per minute semi auto. As a general rule if your suppressor starts to get red hot, stop firing and allow it to cool. Your KATAN is hearing safe and highly capable on 5.56 bolt action riles, however, due to the low mass it is important to manage rate of fire so as not over heat the suppressor.
